Terms of Service
These are the rules for using lePanel. We have kept them short and plain.
1. Accepting these terms
By using lePanel, you agree to these terms.
You also confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Using the service fairly
Do not impersonate real private people in panels you publish or share.
Do not abuse or harass anyone. Do not abuse the service or try to get around our rate limits or our safety scanners.
Do not scrape the public advisor catalog beyond what the rate-limited API allows.
Do not use the service to create content that breaks any applicable law.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.
Before you subscribe or change plans, we show you the price, how often you’re charged and how to cancel, and we ask you to confirm. We then email you a copy of those terms. We email you before an annual plan renews.
To cancel, go to Settings › Plan › Change plan › Downgrade to Free.
When you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.
We don’t usually refund payments. We may choose to, and we always will where the law requires it. These terms don’t take away any consumer rights you have that can’t be excluded, such as those under New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Australian Consumer Law, or your right to cancel in the UK and EU (which ends once you ask us to start the service and begin using it).
Our payment provider processes every payment. We never store your card number.
4. Not professional advice, not for emergencies
The advisors are characters written by lePanel and run by AI.
They give general information and practice. They do not give medical, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice.
Check any important decision with a qualified professional before you act on it.
lePanel is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number now.

5. Who owns what
The content you create is yours: your questions, your custom panels, and the sources you add.
We hold a non-exclusive license to process that content, solely to run the service for you.
The advisor system prompts and our n-gram safety corpora belong to lePanel. They cannot be transferred as part of any export.
6. Our liability
We provide the service “as is”.
Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped. The cap is $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
7. Closing or suspending an account
You can close your account at any time in Settings → Privacy.
If an account materially breaches these terms, we may suspend it. We will give written notice first.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where possible, we will give you at least 14 days’ notice on our What’s new page. If a change reduces your rights, we will always tell you before it takes effect, unless we must change sooner to comply with the law or to keep the service secure.
If you keep using the service after the new terms take effect, that counts as accepting them.
For material changes, we may ask you to accept the terms again.
